Basements and Groundworks

City Grey have extensive basement and groundworks experience and accustomed to delivering works in restricted locations. City Grey often deal with third parties such as Transport for London, Network Rail and London Underground. Our services include Facade Retention, Bulk Excavation, Temporary Propping, Underpinning, Waterproofing, Gas Protection, Foundations, General Civils, Highways Construction, Section 278 Works, Deep Drainage, Heading Connections and Hard Landscaping.

Superstructures

City Grey has an extensive track record in planning and constructing high-rise concrete structures. We have experience in delivering Reinforced Concrete Frames over 100m in height and utilising various different techniques. Our expertise includes Post Tensioning, Traditional RC Frames, Structural Precast, Architecturally Designed Finishes, Slipform and Jumpform Cores.

Featured Projects

The Denton

The Denton is located in Berkhamsted, this development offers 103 apartments and hotel-style facilities. The project comprised a 100,000 tonne basement excavation, sheet piled retaining walls, two concrete framed buildings, drainage up to nine meters deep and extensive civils.
Sutton Dwellings

Located in Chelsea & Kensington, this project consists of major refurbishment to early 20th century-buildings. It required soft strip demolition, major temporary works, cut & carve, structural alterations, 200m deep geothermal piles, specialist cutting, drainage diversions & reinstatement of basement / upper floor slabs.
The Beckett

Located in Royal Tunbridge Wells, the Beckett will provide 89 apartments. The development comprised three concrete frames, intricate temporary works, two stage underpinning, basement construction, ground remediation and gas protection
North Peckham Estate

Located in Peckham, the project comprises of 109 mixed tenure flats within two 10 storey concrete frame buildings. The scheme embraces decorative colonnades across all floors, courtyard gardens providing a variety of hard and sort landscaping and S278 works.
Manor and Braganza

Located in Kennington, this mixed-use scheme offers apartments, duplexes, townhouses and commercial space. The project comprised of major groundworks, seven medium rise concrete framed buildings, facade retention, contamination removal, and hard landscaping.
Kingsbury Place

Located in Hendon, Kingsbury Place is an apartment block on Hendon Broadway. It consists of a concrete frame building constructed in close proximity to the Welsh Harp Reservoir. The scheme also included external retaining walls, grade 3 waterproofing and adopted highway works.
